3.1 The Company will collect any information that you willingly provide when you contact The Company via phone or through The Site. Any feedback The Company receives from you in correspondence may be applicable to all websites and domains owned by The Company including and not solely limited to The Site.


3.2 The Company will collect any information contained in any correspondence between you and The Company. For example, if you contact The Company, they may keep a record of that correspondence for an indefinite period as permitted by English law. You may also be asked for additional information when you report a problem with The Site.


3.3 The Company may collect certain information for analysis of your visits to- and usage of- The Site. This may include but is not limited to your geographical location, IP address, device information, browser type, referral source, length of visit and number of page views. The Company may use this information for a number of purposes including but not limited to administration on behalf of The Site, optimising the use- and performance- of The Site (or associated domains owned by The Company), disclosing to third party contributors or for security purposes. Individual users will not be identifiable from any information shared with third party contributors in such a case as when this information is collected by a third party analytics service provider on behalf of The Company. 3.3.1 For the avoidance of doubt, The Site is hosted by a third party website creation provider - Squarespace - which uses cookies on The Company’s behalf to record your data as you browse The Site. Please make yourself familiar with the cookies used by clicking here.

3.4  The Company will require you to provide information including but not limited to your name, billing address, credit or debit card details and email address when purchasing tickets for the online experience hosted on The Site.

3.4.1 As The Company is using a third party ticketing system in order to process ticket purchases for the online gaming experience and your use of this service - to ensure your engagement with the experience - is subject to their privacy policy and terms and conditions.


4. Use of Your Information

4.1 The Company will only use the personal information that it collects from you in accordance with The Policy and its own Website Terms and Conditions as applicable to you.


4.2 In addition to the specific uses set out in section 3 above, The Company may use your information for the following purposes:

4.2.1 to ensure that content from The Site is presented in the most effective manner;

4.2.2 to send you general (non-marketing) commercial communications, such as information about The Site (and any associated domains owned by The Company) and services provided to you by The Company at that time;

4.2.3 to provide customer service in relation to your use of The Site, to contact you, to deal with enquiries and complaints relating to the use of the Site and to notify you about changes to services;

4.3  In the case of purchasing tickets for the online experience hosted on The Site, The Company will use any information you provide to ensure the successful processing of transactions you make and to contact you with details of this transaction. This information may also be used solely by The Company for its own record-keeping purposes, such as but not limited to financial procedures and analyses, for a period of up to 7 years as required by English law.


5. Disclosure of Your Information

5.1 Other than as expressly set out in The Policy, or as otherwise required or permitted by law, The Company will not share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide without your consent.


5.2 The Company may disclose your personal information:

6.1 The Site may contain content and links to other websites and microsites that are operated by third parties. In addition, advertisements contained on The Site may operate as links to advertiser’s websites, and such advertisers and third parties may also use and place cookies on your computer.


6.2 The Company does not control third party websites, advertisements and cookies and The Policy does not apply to them. Any information such third parties collect, by virtue of you clicking on a third party link on The Site, will be collected and used in accordance with the privacy policy of that third party. Please therefore consult the terms and conditions and privacy policies of those third party websites and microsites to find out how they collect and use your personal data and to establish whether and for what purpose they use cookies.


7. Security and Data Retention

7.1 The Company employs appropriate technological and operational security measures to protect against any unauthorised access to- or any unlawful processing of- any personal information about you that it holds. The Company will retain your information for as long as is necessary, up to 7 years from provision in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR), to provide any services to you for a reasonable period or as long as English law otherwise permits.


7.2 For the purpose of processing transactions for any tickets purchased for the online experience that is hosted on The Site, The Company is required to retain data you provide to ensure completion of transactions and to keep accurate records of the event and your engagement with it.


7.3 Data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and although The Company employs appropriate technological and organisational security measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, The Company cannot guarantee the security of any data sent over the internet.


8. When You Play Sherlock: An Adventure Online

8.1 In order to facilitate you playing Sherlock: An Adventure Online, The Company uses cookies to track your journey and identify you as a player. These may record information about your browser and operating system in order to improve the quality of the service and game experience.


8.2 Personal information such as but not limited to your telephone number may be used by The Company (and any associated partners or agents acting on behalf of The Company for the duration of the experience) to communicate with you during the game.

8.2.1 The Company may also use a third party Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) system in order to optimise communication with you during the experience, the use of which may be subject to the VOIP system operator’s own privacy policy - that The Company will provide links to - and to your explicit consent prior to the game experience.


8.3 Your email will be recorded and stored by The Company in order to send you emails after your active participation in the experience has ended, providing you have given express permission to be added to The Company’s mailing list.


8.4 In the singular case of exception to conditions outlined in section 7, a limited amount of your personal data will be stored securely within the game system for 7 years in accordance with GDPR before being permanently deleted.

8.4.1 This data includes a screenshot of your experience, which will be emailed to you on completion of the game, provided you have given The Company express permission to do so.

8.4.1.1 If you give The Company express permission for this screenshot to be used for promotional purposes directly related to the show, it will be held by The Company and stored for a period of 7 years in accordance with GDPR before it is permanently deleted.

8.4.1.2 In the event that you explicitly consent to the use of this screenshot as a marketing material for the game experience, some of your personal data - specifically relating to this screenshot image - will be subject to the terms of the privacy policy of the public platform on which the image is shared (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). For the avoidance of doubt, this may require The Company to store the image in perpetuity according to the length of its life in the public domain as stated in the relative public platform’s privacy policy.

8.4.1.3 You will be provided with the opportunity to opt in to the use- and receipt- of this screenshot before you actively participate in the gaming experience.

8.4.2 This date includes your name and contact information, which will be held and stored securely by The Company in accordance with GDPR and used solely by The Company for data analysis after your active participation in the game experience has ended.


9. Your Rights

9.1 You are entitled to know what personal data The Company holds about you and you may ask to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. In certain limited circumstances, you may also be entitled to request the deletion of certain information that The Company holds about you.


9.2 If you have any questions about the personal information that The Company holds about you or would like to make any requests in relation to it, please contact The Company using the contact information provided in section 2 above.


9.3 You may request that The Company ceases sending you any marketing information at any time by providing notification in writing or following any unsubscription instructions included in any marketing communications that are sent to you.


10. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

10.1 The Company reserves the right to make changes to The Policy from time to time. Any such changes to The Policy will be posted to The Site and, if deemed appropriate, The Company will notify you of any material changes using any contact information you have provided.


10.2 According to elements of The Policy that require the policies and terms and conditions of other third party sites, The Company is unable to guarantee that any changes to these third party policies and/or terms and conditions will be shared with you. Contacting you to make you aware of any changes is the responsibility of the third parties responsible for these third party sites.
